The Chinese Academy of Financial Inclusion (CAFI) has been a long-standing advocate and practitioner in the field of financial health, continuously advancing the transition of financial health from conceptual research to policy practice and market applications.
Over the years, CAFI has developed a comprehensive research framework covering key groups including consumers, households, micro and small enterprises (MSEs), gig workers, women, and rural households. Through a series of flagship publications, including China Consumer Financial Health Report, Financial Health Insights for Micro and Small Enterprises, and Understanding Financial Health, CAFI has established a financial health indicator framework with Chinese characteristics, providing evidence-based insights and policy references for government agencies, financial institutions, and international organizations.
Leveraging partnerships with international organizations and industry stakeholders, including the World Bank Group, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and others, CAFI continues to conduct research on financial health initiatives, index development, thematic dialogues, and practical innovations.
Through these efforts, CAFI promotes the integration of financial health into broader agendas such as high-quality development of inclusive finance, rural revitalization, consumption enhancement, and micro and small enterprise development. CAFI is committed to building a research and innovation platform that combines international perspectives with locally grounded practices in advancing financial health.
